President’s Badge Christian Faith Development Course

For those who don’t know – Kindle is for Seniors in our District who are exploring faith – whether they are already Christians or have no faith at all. This year is our 7th year of running Kindle at Great Wood Camp in the Quantocks and already we have started our planning. Firstly the dates are set out above. Secondly through the generosity of the District and various donors, the cost is £35 and thirdly we have Andy de Feu coming back to be our speaker. Andy is Director of Training for Family, Youth and Community Work at Moorlands Bible College and before that was a pastor of a church in Oxfordshire (and a youth-worker). In addition, as you know, in order for a member to attain their President’s Badge, members have to complete a Christian Faith Development Course. This often quite a hurdle as there are very few courses run – yet for the peace of mind of captains, it does need to be a course that will be enjoyable and suit the needs of our members.

For those wanting to complete their President’s Badge, BBHQ have confirmed that Kindle is a Christian Faith Development course. So this will mean wherever your guys are in terms of faith there will be something that will be of immense worth – by enabling our Seniors to complete their Christian Faith part of the President’s Badge and also having opportunity to develop their faith, if they so wish.

So do you have any Seniors or certainly those in Year 10 and above? What about sending them to Kindle? All you need to do is to encourage them – arrange their transport – we can take it from there! They will be well fed, well looked after and you can be assured that the teaching and worship will be well up their street.
