short commentary on Paul Jones and his journey to Presidents Award.

short commentary on Paul Jones and his journey to Presidents Award.

Paul has been in 1st Weston-s-Mare Company since joining the junior section and through his service has shown progression and enthusiasm.  In our company section he has gained all awards (a pre-requisite of the Presidents Award) and since then over 18 months has contributed towards the discipline and motivation of the older sections.  He has shown long-term commitment and hard work on company evening and has been instrumental in re-launching our Senior section.  Recently promoted to Staff Sergeant, Paul continues as a leading example for the lads.  Also as part of his work towards this award he represented us at the District Centenary and was a colour bearer.

Rosie Pike (Somerset Battalion President and WofE&CI Secretary) presented his award at the company monthly parade service on 14 February 2016.  Rosie, the former captain of this company, can remember him starting as a shy 8 year old who now demonstrates the confidence and stature of a senior member.

It is with great pleasure that we now support him through his work towards The Queens Badge.
